　もちろんわたしは、ネタニヤフなどの右派勢力が圧倒的に少ないことを期待していますが、そうはいかないようです。

　ネタニヤフ政権は、ガザにおけるジェノサイドが世界に報じられたことにより、ユダヤ人に対する人びとの見方をかえました。ナチスにより圧倒的な被害を受けたユダヤ人が、今度はみずからジェノサイドを行っている、という見方を、世界的につくり出しました。おそらくユダヤ人の歴史からみても、これは大きな損失だろうと思います。

　こうした見方が世界的に確立されないようにするためには、ネタニヤフら右派を政権につけてはなりません。

　ガザに対する侵攻と虐殺、アメリカと一緒に行ったイラン戦争は、世界的に物価の上昇を招き、世界の人びとは、たいへん怒っています。

　最近、我が家に来た建築関係の人も、建築資材の値上がりに腹を立てていて、ネタニヤフやトランプは何とかしなければいけない、と言っていました。

　アメリカ国民も、イスラエル国民も、世界の人びとの気持ちを正確に予想しなければなりません。

　人びとは、安定した日々、今まで通りの日常が回復するのを期待しています。ネタニヤフやトランプでは、それができそうもありません。

　People are hoping for a return to stable days and a return to their normal, everyday lives. It seems unlikely that Netanyahu and Trump will be able to make that happen.
