 　日本の首相、高市は、みずからの無能さを知られたくないために、記者会見をしない。2月18日に行われて以降、皆無である。そのかわり、Xを駆使して、一方通行の情報を流す。そのXの情報を、メディアは流す。

　記者会見をほとんどしない高市は、ぶら下がりという短時間の記者の質問に答えるという会見を行う。しかしその際の質問は、全社でひとつという驚くべき会見である。記者団は、何故にそんな問答が不可能な方法を可としているのだろうか。

　そもそも日本には記者クラブという閉鎖的な組織があって、その統制下に記者会見は行われる。首相の場合は、内閣記者会（官邸記者クラブ）であるが、ずっと前から、取材する側の記者クラブの記者たちと取材対象である首相とは、仲睦まじい関係が出来ていた。記者たちも、取材対象である首相等と仲良くすることを求めてきた。したがって、記者たちからは、厳しい質問は出ないという状況がつくられてきた。

　そういう記者会見ではあっても、高市はそれを実施しない。記者会見でボロを出したくないのだろう。彼女には、旧統一教会との関係など、胡散臭いことがまとわりついているからだ。

　わたしが住む静岡県では、『静岡新聞』というローカル紙がある。『静岡新聞』は全国紙などより安かったので、県下での購読者は多かった。しかし最近、夕刊を廃止し、ネットでの購読を購読者には無料とするとともに購読料を、3300円から3980円に値上げした。すると、『静岡新聞』の購読者は激減したという。失礼ながら、『静岡新聞』を購読している人びとは、新聞を意欲的に読むという人びとではない。だから、そんなに値上げするなら購読をやめようということになったのだ。わたしの周辺にも、新聞の購読をやめた人びとがいる。 

　日本で、新聞購読者が減るという事態が続いている。全国紙が各地に置いている支局も、減ったり、あるいは支局があっても、支局員が1人しかいないというところが増えている。新聞の影響力は大きく減じている。

　そのかわり、XなどSNSからの情報を、人びとは得るようになっている。しかしSNSの情報は、一方的であり、その情報にはデマや虚偽が満ちあふれている。カネのある人びとは、それを駆使して、人びとの意思を操ろうとしている。高市は、その先頭に立つ。

　日本の政治に対する人びとの意識は、、潤沢な資金をもった極右の政治家によって構成された自民党などが、SNSを使って 左右するようになっている。まさにXが、日本を動かす時代へと突入している。

　そのなかで、戦時体制の構築が進んでいる。日本は再び破滅の道を歩みつつある。

Recently, however, the paper discontinued its evening edition, made online access free for subscribers, and raised the subscription fee from 3,300 yen to 3,980 yen. As a result, the number of *Shizuoka Shimbun* subscribers reportedly plummeted. With all due respect, the people who subscribe to the *Shizuoka Shimbun* are not the type who read the newspaper enthusiastically. So, when the price went up that much, they decided to cancel their subscriptions. I know people in my circle who have stopped subscribing to the newspaper. 

In Japan, the decline in newspaper subscribers continues. The number of branch offices that national newspapers maintain across the country is decreasing, and even where offices remain, there are increasing numbers of locations staffed by just a single employee. The influence of newspapers has significantly diminished.

Instead, people are turning to social media platforms like X for information. However, information on social media is one-sided and rife with misinformation and falsehoods. Those with money are exploiting this to manipulate public opinion. Takaichi is at the forefront of this.

Public perception of Japanese politics is increasingly being swayed by the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP)—composed of far-right politicians with abundant funds—through their use of social media. We are truly entering an era where X is driving Japan.

Amidst this, the establishment of a wartime regime is progressing. Japan is once again heading down the path to ruin.
