蛮行をとめられない世界

 　ジェノサイド下のガザのニュースを追っているが、イスラエルという国家の蛮行は鬼畜すらしないものだ。イスラエル建国時から、パレスチナに住む人びとに加えられた暴力、それがずっと続き、今ではパレスチナ人を一掃しようと最後の「仕上げ」に励んでいるようだ。

　昨日、BBCの報道で、西岸地区に住むパレスチナ人が営むオリーブ畑のオリーブをイスラエルの植民者たちが伐採し住民を攻撃する場面をみたが、イスラエル国民全員が、現在イスラエル政府が行っている野蛮な政策を支持しているようで、その政策に乗っかって、西岸地域でもパレスチナ人を追い払おうという植民者たちの動きが活発化しているようだ。

　なぜイスラエルはこのような蛮行をすすめることができるのかといえば、アメリカや西欧の国家群がそれを支持しているからだ。批判すらしない。

　イスラエル国外にいるユダヤ人は、イスラエル政府が行う蛮行を支持していないというが、イスラエル政府が行っていることを批判したり、ブレーキをかける動きがまったく報じられない。

　イスラエルは、キリスト教世界によって迫害されたユダヤ人への「免罪」のために、キリスト教世界によって建国が承認された国家である。そのかわりに、移住してきたユダヤ人によってパレスチナに住む人びとが迫害され、さらに先祖代々住んでいたところから追い出されようとしている。こんな理不尽なことがまかり通っているのだ。

　それを国際社会はとめることもできない。

The international community is unable to stop it.

　The current world seems to be moving toward an era where anything goes.  

Every day is scorching hot, and in the region where I live, there has been no rain for the second consecutive year. Climate change measures seem to be of little concern to world leaders.  

There is a saying, “the wisdom of humanity,” but it does not seem to be putting it into action. The history of the Earth is moving toward a sad era.
